This last weekend had a lot of family time with Kaely’s family. Friday night we had a “camp out” in their back yard. My in-laws, Scott and Leanna, setup their camper and brought out the fire pit. We played Pictionary, Catch Phrase and sat around a camp fire and ate smores. When it was time for bed, Kaely, Noah, and I went home to let Scott, Leanna, their two daughters, and our two cousins from Arizona go to bed in the camper. Overall it was a pretty entertaining evening.

After being at my current position for over two years, I have gotten myself a promotion. The cool thing is, it is in something I never thought about doing professionally. My new role will be a Technical Procurement Analyst. What this means is I will be processing all hardware and software orders for the I.T. Department at HNI Corporation. There will be a lot of learning that I will need to be doing, but I am definitely looking forward to the challenges this position will bring. I am good with hardware, and building machines which hopefully comes in handy in this new position. Along with hardware and software puchasing, I will also be in charge of all managing our asset database for the company. This database is huge, ranging from desktop computers, laptops, printers, to production hardware, and packout stations.

A book that Josh McDowell wrote titled The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict goes into more detail on the prophecies of Jesus. Now, I am not a big gambling man, nor should I be, but lets look at the odds of these prophecies actually coming true.

Sorry that I haven’t been posting lately! With Noah growing like a weed, work keeping me constantly busy, and my other hobbies I have during the summer, it has left me little time to blog, especially with the old, more complicated theme. I have simplified the new theme in hopes that I can get more posted without all the extra stuff that is needed with the images and what not.
Just a quick update with me and my family. Noah is now almost ten weeks old. Everyone has said that time …

Last night, before bed I realized I had not done my daily Bible study yet. Which is my typical “Oh crap, I’m a procrastinator” style. So I read the passage required which was Colossians 1: 15-18, which reads:
15. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
